This is an innovative 11,600 square foot custom home in Plumas County designed by commercial designer Ferrari Shields’ from Reno and green building engineer Stephen Wytek of SEED, INC. (sustainable environment engineered design) from Incline Village, Nevada. This naturally designed home has solar powered electric from its small solar farm in the front yard and a wind mill back-up for electric and solar powered hot water tubes. The home faces south and is constructed entirely out of ARRX Blocks (http//:www.arxx.com) for passive solar collection and extreme high r-value of insulated concrete form unit blocks. This unique home utilizes some of the best green building technology and is completely off the grid. This is a one of a kind personalized home and an interesting project that Williams Construction built.
